Dotty Guests on Outlier Sessions and Performs “Change Up“

For those of you that remember, we recently included Dotty in our inaugural Breaking Through list in recognition of his progress in the last year and the release of his well received project London X Living: A Collection Of Sounds. Well now the Thorton Heath artist has linked up with a new platform called Outlier; a London based channel where guests are invited to perform an acoustic rendition of a choice song from their catalogue. On the debut episode of Outlier Sessions, the introspective rapper gave a passionate performance of “Change Up”, one of the more personal cuts from his aforementioned London X Living project.

Backed by a live band that go by The Monarchy LDN, their cutely layered instrumentation take the album cut to another level and gives us an insight into the passion that goes into Dotty’s craft. His lyrics on this one demonstrate his change and growth from his young days of being useless in class, his infidelities and broken promises. This is a matrimony of sounds and rhythm that will see this platform gain traction as it grows from strength to strength. Dotty performing “Change Up” illustrates why we put him on our Breaking Through list. Look out for more Outlier Sessions and watch the video above.
