Leeds based tag-team The Northaze return with new song “Brew Talk” and an accompanying music video. The track is taken from their upcoming project ‘Lunar Duplex’ and serves as their first official single. Kosi Tides and Swish flourish here, elevating their trademark mellow sound through confident flows and clever wordplay. The song’s production is brilliant, the gentle instrumental perfectly suited to the pair’s laid back delivery, featuring drums that hit on all the right lines.

“Brew Talk” is a strong addition to the group’s already extensive back catalogue and the video, directed by Christopher Rogers, is one of the best they’ve released thus far. The visual is an example of less sometimes being more; a combination of clever camera work and editing as well as ever changing coloured lighting makes this one of the group’s most visually engaging videos to date, despite all of it being confined to one room. Throw in the quotes from Sun Tzu’s ‘The Art of War’ and you have one supremely cool music video.

If “Brew Talk” is any indication, The Northaze’s next project is set to be their best yet, 2018 should be big for them.
