Payday Records newest signing Yung Fume, who continues to make waves here and overseas, is back with a new video. Titled ‘Never Had’ the Zaytoven produced track has Fumos goading the competition whilst talking about everything that he has now. His verse which is partly aided by Autotune depicts the rapper in a reflective mood as opposed to simply glamorizing.

I actually haven’t heard a Zaytoven beat like this before, so it’s good to know that the super producer is shaping his talents to suit Yung Fume’s skill set. Both artists are really going into their bag. For me though, the star of this show is Jme. His no frills approach has been a staple for him ever since he came into the game with ‘Serious’ but this verse takes us back to his young days. Making beats on the PS1, wearing hand-me-down school uniform and having his dad’s car as his first car, Jme comes through with his signature flow and shells it down.

It’s good to see old gen and new gen collaborating when there’s such a stigma about old versus new. The video itself is cool, I like that Fume tries to vary how his videos look these days. The dancing will never stop though haha! Look out for the Level Up EP which should be dropping anytime soon.
